Vid Auction - FAQ and call for vidders

In response to the events endangering medical autonomy in the United States, our auction will be to raise funds for National Network of Abortion Funds. This organization supports those seeking abortion - both in the U.S. and internationally. You can read more about abortion funds here and you can follow them on AbortionFunds

Vidder's sign up form
Please use the form below to offer a vid in the womansplace auction. Feel free to be as specific or as vague in your vidding preferences as you'd like. Keep in mind that you are outlining what a bidder can expect should they win your auction.

Vid offers should be focused on characters who identify as women or who are aligned with womanhood. Please use your best judgement when dealing with non-binary characters.

Important Dates
July 23. Vidder sign-ups close.
July 24. Bidding commences. Auction details for each vidder will be posted to the community as a bidding page.
July 31. Auction closes. Donations will be confirmed over the course of a couple days and coordination between vidder and bidder can be finalized.
October 30. Vids to be completed and posted to our moderated (unrevealed) collection on AO3.
November 6. Reveals and Vid Shows

FYI - Vidders will not be required to make a vid for a specific song or for a fandom/character not listed in the offer. Most vidders welcome song suggestions and it can certainly be a collaborative effort, but bidders will be asked to provide alternatives when needed.

Things I like to vid: Honestly I like it all - shippy, ensemble, character study, friendship, humor, angst, sexy, scary, meta/critical, I'm happy to do whatever. I'm also open to doing a multi-fandom vid depending on what it is

Other preferences (genres/pairings/music/etc): Music-wise, I like something with good lyrics and tend to go for more up-tempo stuff, but am open to slow vids. Always open to specific music requests. I've vidded lots of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend songs and would love to do more.

Things I can't vid: I can't think of much content-wise that I'm unwilling to vid, especially from the fandoms I listed. Style-wise the only thing I can think of is that I don't like to include dialogue over lyrics, but am open to using dialogue during intros, outros, and instrumental breaks. I guess I also tend to avoid vidding to instrumental music, though I am convincible
