Vid Auction Open for Bidding!
Time to get your money out for a good cause and for some great vids!!
5 vidders have offered up their creative energy ~ will one of them be making a vid for you?!?!?



Bidding will CLOSE @ 5pm ET July 30th Countdown Clock

How to make a bid
Make a comment in reply to the offer with the amount of your bid. Be sure to reply directly to the vidder's offer, not to a previous bid that may already be there (ie. don't make threads).
You can track the vidder's offer if you'd like notifications of other bids.

Bidding will be in US Dollars. You can bid any amount, as long as it's more than any existing bid.

Upon winning the auction, donations will be made directly to the National Network of Abortion Funds or the affiliated international options listed on this post. You can donate using whatever currency works best for you.
I will reach out to the winners to coordinate donation confirmation after the auction's close.

I want this to be a positive experience for both vidders and bidders. If you have any questions surrounding what a vidder may or may not be willing to do, please contact them using the contact method they list in their offer.
Vidders are not required to make a vid that is outside the scope of their offer.
Vids should be focused on characters who identify as women or who are aligned with womanhood. Please use your best judgement when dealing with non-binary characters. All relationship types and combinations are eligible, again use your best judgement.

Well, the world hasn't become magically equitable (imagine that) so I think it could be time to tackle it in the fine, fannish tradition of holding another vid auction.

I'd like to check-in and confirm the format and structure all worked okay for everyone. I'm happy to adjust things if we all think something else would work better. So, to that end, there's a poll at the end of this post.

For reference, our timeline last year was as follows:
July 4. Vidder signups open
July 23. Vidder signups close
July 24. Auction opens for bidding
July 31. Auction closes
August 3. Donation confirmation deadline
October 30. Auction vids due
November 5/6: Reveals, vid-watching party

In response to the events endangering medical autonomy in the United States, our auction will be to raise funds for National Network of Abortion Funds. Important Dates
July 23. Vidder sign-ups close.
July 24. Bidding commences. Auction details for each vidder will be posted to the community as a bidding page.
July 31. Auction closes. Donations will be confirmed over the course of a couple days and coordination between vidder and bidder can be finalized.
October 30. Vids to be completed and posted to our moderated (unrevealed) collection on AO3.
November 6. Reveals and Vid Shows

FYI - Vidders will not be required to make a vid for a specific song or for a fandom/character not listed in the offer. Most vidders welcome song suggestions and it can certainly be a collaborative effort, but bidders will be asked to provide alternatives when needed.
