Vid Auction - call for vidders

womansplaceLike last year, our auction will be to raise funds for National Network of Abortion Funds. This organization supports those seeking abortion - both in the U.S. and internationally. You can read more about abortion funds here.
**If vidders would like to support a different organization with their vid offer, please let me know what organization by going to this post and leaving details (see note at the end of that post). This will help keep all donation details about organizations in one place.
Vidder's sign up form
Please use the form below to offer a vid in thewomansplace auction. Feel free to be as specific or as vague in your vidding preferences as you'd like. Keep in mind that you are outlining what a bidder can expect should they win your auction.
Vid offers should be focused on characters who identify as women or who are aligned with womanhood. Please use your best judgement when dealing with non-binary characters.
Important Dates
July 22. Vidder sign-ups close.
July 23. Bidding commences. Auction details for each vidder will be posted to the community as a bidding page.
July 30. Auction closes. Donations will be confirmed over the course of a couple of days and coordination between vidder and bidder can be finalized.
October 29. Vids to be completed and posted to our moderated (unrevealed) collection on AO3.
November 5. Reveals and Vid Shows
FYI - Vidders will not be required to make a vid for a specific song or for a fandom/character not listed in the offer. Most vidders welcome song suggestions and it can certainly be a collaborative effort, but bidders will be asked to provide alternatives when needed.

Movie fandoms:

- I have a ton of queer movies, female coming of age movies, and horror movies on my hard drive from past multifandom vids
- If you want to know if I’ve seen and liked a movie, I have everything logged on Letterboxd (https://letterboxd.com/tafadhali/films/by/entry-rating/) and I’m generally up for anything!
Things I like to vid: Character studies, ensembles, romance, humor, horror, meta vids about tropes
Other preferences (genres/pairings/music/etc): I like a range of music, but tend to prefer vidding to something up-tempo with a good beat and I’m very lyrically driven. Some favorites include oldies/classic rock/Motown, showtunes, Aimee Mann, Barenaked Ladies, Regina Spektor, Against Me, Amanda Palmer, Dessa, Mountain Goats, Belle & Sebastian, Magnetic Fields, Kesha, Scissor Sisters.
Things I can't vid: I’m comfortable vidding most content. I don’t usually make vids that incorporate source audio and might struggle with making a highly visual effects-heavy vid.

Other things bidders might want to consider: I love making multifandom vids and would be open to considering one, though I can't make any guarantees without a sense of the scope of the project :)
