Summary: Dr. Beverly Crusher finds herself the victim of a hijacking by a starfleet colleague turned Maquis symphathizer. When the runabout is shot down by the Cardassians, Beverly runs afoul of a harsh Cardassian commander, Gul Toril Gudrid, who believes in guilt by association and arrests Beverly.
Reccer's Notes: Beverly Crusher is a big inspiration to me and this fic covers all the reasons why. She’s dedicated to her duties as a physician and steadfast in her beliefs, but she’s also compassionate. I also feel that Beverly’s role as a mother was overlooked a bit in canon so it’s nice to see works that bring that element to the table. While this fic does have relationship tags, they’re a minor portion of the story and the fic really focuses on Beverly herself.
